Collection Filter Sidebar With Shopify app 'Search & Discovery'

You would like to adjust filter options displaying on the filter sidebar in Collection page? You are in the right place. This writing shows you how to succeed in adjusting options to hide/add more options into the filter. 

Let's jump right in the instruction

1. Create filter options in app editor

First and foremost, you need to install the app called Search & Discovery into your store. Then, go to your Shopify admin to open this app

•  Select section 'Filters' on the left side menu, then click on button 'Add filter' to add options#Source: you can choose one of these data source to show on the filter option

   #Label: name your option to distinguish it among other filter options

• Remember to save changes

• To delete/remove options, just simply click on the options you'd like to delete/remove. There's a button for you to do so

2. Options settings in theme editor

• Open the theme editor, then go to Collection page 

• Click on Collection Sidebar section > Add block > Choose Filter group (Attributes) 

• the block settings will show off

• #Heading: this is the name of the option which will display on the filter on the storefront.
  Eg: Filter by AAAA
  #Attribute name: make sure you fill the field with the exact name of the label you've just added in the app editor
  eg: Car Type

• Save all changes

You finish the process! Now, let's view the result on the storefront to see the options we've added
