Modify the Collection Template

TABLE OF CONTENTS


I. COLLECTION TEMPLATE

- Number items per page: drag to decide how many items shown on the collection


1. Storefont filters

- Tick to Enable this widget to add storefront filtering (How to add storefront filtering?)

- Drag to limit the number of items per filter

 2. Sub collections

- Heading: enter the text to show as the heading for sub-collection 


- Select component to show: Metafield/ Menu item/ None
- You can setup Subcollection by 2 ways: Metafield or Menu item. This is the instruction to setup Subcollection by each way:
    
+ Metafield: Ensure that the ACF ( Advanced Custom Fields) app is installed and configure in your Shopify Store.
                      First, open ACF app > Custom Fields > Collection > Select a collection that you want to add subcollection. You will see the metafield, it allows you to select a specific subcollection you want to associate with this   collection.



                     Then, if you select "Metafield" as the component to show, it will display as below:


+ Menu Item (create Subcollection via Navigation Menu):
                     First, you need to go to Online store > Navigation, then create a new menu. In this menu, you create the structure of your own collections as you want. For example, this is what we made in our demo:



                  Then, within the Theme editor, go to a collection page. In the Subcollections section, select "Menu item" as the component to show, and choose the menu you just created.



 


3. Collection toolbar

- Tick to show:

  • Collection description
  • Products showing
  • Enable sort by

- Mode view: Small/ Medium/ List/ List small/



4. Sidebar
To customize your sidebar content, please click Add block.

- Select a Style: Left Sidebar/ Right Sidebar/ None


II. BLOCK SETTING


1. Sidebar- Menu

- Heading: enter the heading for the block

- Menu item: select a menu to display on the sidebar



2. Sidebar- Products

- Heading: enter the heading for the block

- Menu item: select a collection to display 



3. Sidebar- Banner

- Image: select an image to show as banner

- Link: search or paste an external link to attach to the image


4. Sidebar- Service

To modify each block item, you can edit these options:
- Tick to enable the widget

- SVG icon: enter the icon code in SVG

- Add Text and Subtext
