ACF search tool’s mechanism is based on Shopify’s REST API and GraphQL API. Due to these APIs’ limitations, searching is different according to type of resource; For this reason, if you want the search bar to work well, you have to know how to use the correct keyword for each resource.
1 - Pages
- Page data only provides search mechanism based on page title. Please type exactly page title for the best results. Ex: “about us”, “compare page”…
2 - Blogs
- Blog data only provides search mechanism based on blog handles. Please type exactly a blog handle for the best results. Ex: “accessories-1”, “boots”…
3 - Posts
- Post data only provides search mechanism based on blog handles that they belong to. Please type exactly a blog handle for the best results. Ex: “accessories-1”, “boots”…
4 - Collections - Smart collections
- Collection and smart collection data provide search mechanism based on the collection's title. Please type a keyword or sub keyword of the collection's title. Ex: “laptops”, “computer”, “laptops & computer”…
5 - Products
- Product data provides search mechanism based on product's title, product's type or product's vendor. Please type a keyword or sub keyword of product's title, product's type or product's vendor to search. Ex: “coneco”, “fashion”, “Armani”…
6 - Product variants
- Variant data provides search mechanism based on product's title, product's type, product's vendor that they belong to. Please type a keyword or sub keyword of product's title, product's type or vendor to search. Ex: “coneco”, “fashion”, “Armani”…
7 - Customers
- Customer data provides search mechanism based on customer's email or customer's country. Please type a keyword or sub keyword of customer's email or country to search. Ex: “john@gmail.com”, “United States”...
8 - Orders
- Order data provides search mechanism based on customer email. Please type a keyword or sub keyword of email to search. Ex: “john@gmail.com”
9 - Draft orders
- Draft order data provides search mechanism based on customer ID or order status. Please type an exact order status or customer ID to search. Ex: “open”, “1546075045934”
